Focus or Theme: Discerning the difference between comfort and conviction.
💭 This Week’s Guiding Question
Where in your life have you settled for being “good” instead of being authentic (true to self)?
Context & Intention
Last week, we explored how righteousness can form the foundation of our systems — the unseen structures that shape our daily lives. This week, we’re testing those structures against the world’s expectations.
There’s a difference between being “decent” — polite, acceptable, easy to digest — and being righteous, which may be uncomfortable but rooted in truth. This week’s study hall invites us to look at where we conform for presentation versus where we stand for preservation.
What We’ll Explore Together
The cultural vs. spiritual definitions of “good”
Why decency sometimes preserves dysfunction
How to practice righteousness in spaces that reward conformity
Accountability Focus
We’re building on last week’s systems work — now examining whether those systems actually reflect righteousness or just respectability.
It’s Just One Thing…
What’s one action you can take or boundary you can set to align your systems with truth, even if it challenges what’s considered “decent”?
Focus on a single, meaningful action that demonstrates your alignment in motion.
Quick Note(s)
Optional reading: Letter from Birmingham Jail by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Reflection Prompt (Until We Meet Again)
Where are you choosing respectability over truth, and what’s that costing you?
Until next time…
